From Here On
This is the title of a substantial show produced for the Arles Festival in summer 2011. The show is curated by Joachim Schmid, Joan Fontcuberta, Erik Kessels , Clement Cheroux and Martin Parr. The idea is to make a major statement about artists and photographers who use the vernacular, and any other images located on the net as the starting point for their work. By showing around 30 artists, and by making this show one of the key components for 2011, we will try and give this work, and indeed movement a new status.
